Technicality Room – Future Jungle, Drum & Bass, Oldschool, Drumfunk, Abstract beats and breaks
Seba [Secret Operations, Metalheadz]
He’s been a regular guest at Technicality since the early, grey beard days at Herbal and has never failed to disappoint the Technicality crowds. His solo work has always been the technicality residents boxes and he is now one of Europe’s premier artists. It’s great to have him back once again and you know he’ll continue to come with the goods. (Fingers crossed he’ll do a “Car Crash VIP” for it”)
Crystl [Lucky Spin] b2b Script [Footprints]
Fact: There is nothing better than hearing Warp Drive….end of fact. The Legendary DJ Crystl makes a triumphant return to the decks for an eagerly awaited debut appearance alongside one of the most talented, hard working and musically cultured DJ’s, Script. This will be a most entertaining period in Technicality history.
Outrage [Temah]
D&B’s answer to the Mitchell brothers… both of them! Outrage has cut a hard edge wave of approval amongst beat lovers worldwide. Have to be honest and say that this set is well overdue as Outrage has been supporting us for years, but like all good things this set will be worth waiting for, another Technicality debut. YAGGA!!!
Antidote (Live) [Inperspective, Outsider]
“Antidote strives to present his own signature sound within the music” as his bio states, never has a truer word been spoken, for he IS the antidote for stale, boring beats that’s for sure!! With releases on Paradox’s seminal label Outsider, and a blistering forthcoming release on Inperspective, 2011 and beyond will be the age of Antidote.
dgoHn (Live) [Inperspective, Subtle Audio, Reflex]
“Outer-worldly beats” and “fucking cold atmospheres” are the phrases that springs to mind when thinking of this extremely talented artist. He is an incredibly nice guy and along with the Mighty Macc, has had releases on Rephlex, Inperspective, Subtle Audio, Mindrush and Transmute. This will be a live set of the highest order.
Senses b2b Chris Inperspective [Inperspective / Technicality]
Chris is getting too old for this shit! Senses is tall and (stupidly) loves Arsenal! Expect beats! That’s it!
Missree [Jungletrain.net]
“Fuck that! I don’t want to go on after her” – (Actual Quote from Chris Inperspective)
We are so proud to be presenting this DJ, Hailing from Melbourne, she won’t be known to many right now but her talent behind the decks is limitless. Missree crafts amazing sets of Drumfunk and D&B, Jungle and Minimal D&B like no other. You can catch her show on jungletrain.net, make sure you do. If you like beats you’ll LOVE her!
Hosted by Blackeye and Goldenchild
You know them, we love them and having established themselves since the inception of Technicality waaaay back in the early days of Herbal, they have become a vocal force that is unsurpassed on the scene today. Technicality wouldn’t be Technicality without them to be honest!
Heresy Room – Dubstep, Future Garage, Abstract Bass Music, Hip Hop
DJ Wonder [Rinse FM]
We feel blessed to have this DJ/producer representing for his debut Heresy Set. Roll out the red carpet!
He’s a founder member of Roll Deep, has worked with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Wiley and Danny Weed, has had a residency at Sun City in Ayia Napa, has supported The Streets and also Dizzee’s Showtime tour. His production skills are in demand by some of the biggest UK artists such as Kano, Sway and Lethal B. Wonder has also remixed tracks for Mr Hudson, the Prodigy, SLK and Lady Sovereign. ‘Welcome To Wonderland’, with its jagged bass, eerie sonics and warped vocals (courtesy of Sway, Mpho Skeef and Mr Hudson & The Library) was released on Dump Valve and hinted at a future beyond the club. He continues to push boundaries within Dubstep, Tech house and Minimal beats on Rinse and has to be heard to be believed for his diverse sets. It’s going to be (ahem) wonderful…..
Get Some DJ’s [Get Some UK]
GET SOME is an event/editorial service promoting an eclectic range of underground genres of sounds. While focused mainly on variations of dance music they showcase a selection of the hottest up and coming DJ’s, producers, live acts and of course, the music itself. It was founded by Jasset Harlech (J Money) and Leigh Middleton (OUZO) in the summer of 2009 in London. The two had been involved in the UK music scene for many years before and became friends through a mutual love for Garage and Dubstep.
For the GET SOME launch party in October 2009, GET SOME showcased two producers on everyone’s lips. Darkstar (Hyperdub) and Joy Orbison (Hot Flush). While you’re most likely to find their music in the DUBSTEP section of record shops or on-line, their music transcends that label, encompassing elements of house and garage, hip hop, funk, techno and more. They played alongside Tred Benedict, founding member of ‘Don’t Techno Sh!t’, who has established a reputation for both his night and his DJ skills ’ asserting it’s place regularly as one of Resident Advisor’s Top Choices for a night out. Since then GET SOME have hosted DJ Greena (Applepips) and EXEL (Reggae Roast) maintaining the eclectic mix of sounds and high quality of performances. Don’t miss this!
Cownie [Oscillate Wildy]
Cownie has only graced the turntables for a couple of years, but has already provided support for the likes of Breakage, Dark Sky, Rosca, Joker and Plastician through his residency at Oscillate Wildy and Princeton Radio Project in his current town of Leeds. Supplying you a quality eclectic mix of electronica and always providing sets that will have you glued to the dancefloor, or the speakers.
Alex Volume [Heresy]
Heresy Manager and A&R, expert beard wearer and Scratch DJ. Has decided to start this Label/Night in response to the “deluge of electronic pap that has been plaguing my life for some time now” (not exactly an exact quote) Basically, this guy LIVES for music and is always welcoming to a impassioned discussion on almost any genre, be it inside the club or out. (just try it!, go up to him and ask him to give you an opinion on any music, then stand back, always a joy!!) Jokes aside, he’s a fantastic DJ and just the guy you’d want at the helm of any forward thinking label.
Aitch [Heresy]
Having sprouted promotional and DJ roots at Fourplay at the Paradise Bar and A-Z at Grays Inn, Aitch has become one the most sort after underground warehouse DJ’s on the scene today. With an unquestioned love of hip-hop, reggae, jungle, dubstep and future garage amongst other things, Aitch’s sets are always a tapestry of sonic excellence. Having played more recently at the Unsound parties (both in London and Italy) and the now infamous Hippo (RIP) in Vauxhall, Aitch brings the party vibe like no other! Expect big things from this talented DJ in the future!
